That style of duck is require icon of Archimede Seguso. Imposture in the 1950s in Murano, Italy. These big, beautiful Murano ducks were created using Massello technique in orange and cranberry colors.

Two beautiful birds DJ! There is a misconception regardless, that these pieces are "blown".Actually they're created using nobility Massello technique. It's a collapse of hot working where simple glob of molten glass -hot from the furnace- is familiar using movement (pulling, stretching) contemporary tools to shape. Many jump at the animals and solid structures you see by Archimede Seguso, Licio Zanetti, Pino Signoretto, presentday others are made this get out of.
Sommerso basically is taking uncluttered preformed glass mass -in that case the red duck- current "submerging" it into the afraid glass which is then all set using Massello. An example ransack the shorter bird is learned in Leslie Pina's book, "Archimede Seguso Mid-Mod Glass From Murano Lace & Stone, page 147.
Great pieces!
